Holly
Owner/Educator/Barber Stylist
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Holly is a Red Seal Barber with 16 years in the industry. Holly's remarkable talent and commitment in the hair industry has led her to become a Barber Instructor at Blanche Macdonald since 2021, and recently proud owner of UBS Cambie Barbershop. She splits her time between the barbershop and the school, where she enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge about hair; through education and mentorship to other aspiring barber stylists alike. In her limited free time, a few sports interests she enjoys playing are; ultimate frisbee, fencing, squash, and dodgeball. Holly has travelled the world, from Europe, North and South America, to South East Asia and more. One of her memorable travel highlights is when she rode on camels and camped out in the Sahara Desert.
Emily
Barber / Stylist
Emily is a driven and dedicated barber whose passion for her craft is rooted in perseverance and continuous growth. She completed her Level 1 Hairdressing certification in 2023, followed by barber training at Blanche Macdonald in 2024. Throughout her journey, Emily has been mentored by Holly, who has helped shape her strong attention to detail and commitment to precision. Emily takes pride in truly understanding each client’s vision, bringing ideas to life with consistency, care, and creativity. Her goal is to ensure every client leaves feeling confident and well taken care of. Outside the barbershop, Emily enjoys teaching skating, playing ringette, snowboarding, and spending time with her Portuguese Water Dog, JJ.
Christopher
Barber
Proudly from the Squamish First Nations, Christopher is a talented and driven barber who graduated from Blanche Macdonald in 2024. His passion for barbering started 13 years ago, when he picked up the skill as a way to learn something new and pass the time. What started as a hobby quickly became a genuine passion and a career he continues to grow in today at UBS Cambie.
Outside of the shop, Chris enjoys hitting the gym, playing competitive basketball, and listening to audiobooks; on personal development, psychology, business, and communication. Chris is also currently in business school studying for his BAA and is a trained actor of 2 years. He’s always looking to learn, improve, and push himself.
His goal is to continue growing as a barber, while pursuing his interests in acting, public speaking, and eventually building a business around his experiences and knowledge.
Bronie
Barber
Bronie is a Vancouver-based barber who grew up in the mountains of British Columbia’s Kootenays; where a love for nature, natural beauty, and a holistic approach to living began.
With two years of experience behind the chair, she has developed a passion for modern barbering, personal style, and creating looks that feel authentic to each client.
Her approach to hair is rooted in the belief that great style should enhance what is already there rather than mask it. She enjoys creating natural, effortless looks that complement each client’s features, lifestyle, and individuality.
Outside of the shop, she enjoys fashion, travel, wellness, and spending time with friends over good food and drinks.
